Large Family Garden

This garden was a wonder to work on. In some gardens, the simplest thing can make all the difference. By moving the client’s shed from its original location, the garden was opened up and the full size of the plot made usable for the client and her large family of offspring and grandchildren. The large contemporary oak pergola sits beautifully within the garden defining the generous dining and BBQ area to form the central hub of the garden. A slide links the treehouse to the nearby terrace. There is space for sun loungers where there is morning sun and armchairs round the fire pit for the evenings. The planted lines in the driveway allowed the front to feel more like a unified space while still giving the seven parking spaces they needed.
