Cozy Couple’s Retreat

The design for this garden was about getting all the elements of the client’s busy lives into the outside space, rationalising the different requirements, existing furniture and spaces so that we end up with a cohesive elegant and relaxing space. I want them to have that happy holiday at home feeling every time they stepped into your kitchen and see the garden.

We wanted to attain a contemporary vibe but still a casual relaxed atmosphere within their garden. British weather does limit us somewhat with those bifold doors it was lovely to have something gorgeous to look at from inside the house, to really enhance and extend the feel of your interior as well as the garden.

The wired in speakers to take the music outside, space for the BBQ and to reconfigure the sofas in different ways depending on who is there. The Corten detail of the pond echoing the warm tones of the planting. Different spots to allow the couple to find the sun at any point in the day so they can enjoy any spare time they have in the garden.
