The Mediterranean Family Garden

A light bright low-maintenance mediterranean garden that gives every member of the family something they love, making them all feel like they are on holiday at home.

These clients are a family of five with two dogs, a cat and a big new office at the bottom of their garden. They longed to lose their lawn in favour of a more low maintenance garden. The new design affords them different areas to sit and enjoy the sun as it moves around the garden through the course of the day. The sun beds sit under the beloved family lilac, behind which sits the swing seat. This was designed especially for their twin girl teenagers who lost their much-loved swings to the new office! The fire pit area has a beautiful bespoke hand built Oak bench and low lounging fire pit chairs to create a cosy space to enjoy long into the summer’s evenings. The beautiful cushions were all made by my cushion fabricator to tie the different spaces together and give a luxurious feel.
