Contemporary Urban Sanctuary

An extension of the family home with plenty of space for both grown ups and kids to play.

This garden required an entertaining area for the whole family to enjoy. I created a space that felt like an extension of the inside with space for dining, a copper rain shower for cooling off in those hot summer months and a dedicated white wall opposite the main lounging area for film projections – just add popcorn! The recess shelves in the lounging area are just right for your glass and a bottle of something nice. The upstairs portion of the garden was kept very simple with lots of lawn for the kids and an upper seating area with pizza oven for the family to enjoy all through those long summer evenings.
